A study on strategies to improve physical education teachers' ability to teach interdisciplinary topics under the guidance of new curriculum
Abstract:The release of the Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education (2022 Edition) kicked off a new round of physical education and health curriculum reform in China, and presented interdisciplinary thematic learning as one of the five major teaching contents. However, interdisciplinary thematic learning is still in the emerging stage, based on this, this paper adopts the literature method and logical analysis method to analyse the challenges currently faced by physical education teachers in carrying out interdisciplinary thematic teaching. It was found that physical education teachers are facing the challenges of insufficient understanding of interdisciplinary theme teaching, lack of resources for interdisciplinary theme teaching in physical education and health programmes, and insufficient multidisciplinary knowledge reserves of physical education teachers. Based on this, this paper provides references for improving the interdisciplinary theme teaching ability of physical education teachers from three aspects: precise positioning of physical education teachers' interdisciplinary theme teaching ability cultivation, multi-channel broadening of interdisciplinary theme teaching resources, and building teachers' teaching and research community.
