General Info
Congress Venue“Palais de Beaulieu” is a perfect venue for an International Congress of the size of ECSS. The main hall 1800 seats – and all other lecture halls (100-130 seats) are technically well equipped and are in close proximity.
There is ample space for the commercial exhibition, integrated with the catering facilities and the space for the poster exhibition. “Palais de Beaulieu” is located in the city center and can be reached from
the central main station with public transportation in 10 min; bus line 3 from
Lausanne main station
“Palais de Beaulieu” is well signposted from the motorways and has abundant subterranean car parking facilities. Links:
[top] Scientific ProgrammeThe scientific programme will concentrate on four main topics. These topics will be introduced by a plenary session in which two keynote speakers and a chairperson will give an overview of the research state-of-the-art. The plenary session will be followed by invited parallel symposia which aim at providing the interdisciplinary context - Plenary Sessions (PLS). A large number of additional invited and thematic sessions for free communication as well as three poster sessions will be offered. Together the scientific programme reflects the actual state of the art in Sport Sciences. [top] Congress LanguageThe official Congress language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. For Congress participants from Japan a Japanese Congress Hostess will be available to take care of needs of guests and accompanying persons. [top] Travel and Shuttle ServiceLausanne can easily be reached by plane, train or car. Lausanne is best reached via the Geneva airport which has a train station integrated.
